To ensure your car is kept shaded, there is a carport located adjacent to the house. Keypad entry will make your stay both uncomplicated and secure – you’ll enter through the tangerine front door into the living room, where you might select a record to play from the vinyl collection as you unpack your belongings. Turn on the air conditioning or heating, if you’d like – both are available in the living room and the bedroom. The living room also boasts a Smart TV with all streaming apps downloaded, ready for your sign-in details. Remember to sign out! Enter the kitchen, where you’ll have access to a Keurig machine with an unlimited supply of Keurig pods. Prefer tea over coffee? There is a gas-stove kettle available with various teas to select at your leisure. For dinner and drinks, you have numerous options – you can conveniently walk to Kitchen in the Desert, a hip and exciting restaurant that offers Caribbean and New American cuisine, or you can visit the atmospheric Out There Bar, a “psychedelic desert monument,” according to their page. The Downtown area offers a plethora of restaurants to choose from as well. If you don’t feel like venturing out, cooking is made easy at this retreat. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, inclusive of a microwave, oven, stove, and refrigerator/freezer, with all pots and pans available for use. Dine beneath the stars on the outside deck or choose to eat in the dining area adjacent to the kitchen. In the morning, take a drive to the Campbell Hill Bakery in Downtown Twentynine Palms, where you might enjoy bread or bagels to bring back to toast. In the hallway, you’ll note one of two bathrooms, where you will have access to a shower with shampoo and bodywash, as well as clean towels for your use. There is also a washer and dryer behind the concertina doors in the kitchen to cleanse your belongings after a hard day’s hike in the Park. Finally, enter the master bedroom – an area where serenity calls and the desert responds. Adjacent to the bed, you’ll see two large sliding glass doors, granting you access to the picturesque deck that was made for stargazing. Lounge on the queen-sized bed, where you might feel inclined to read a book or turn on the second Smart TV on the property. The bedroom includes a half-bathroom with a toilet and sink, so no need to traverse the hallway amidst a tired night. Keep your garments wrinkle-free in the bedroom’s closet, equipped with hangers, or fold your clothes on the shelf above.
